Thrilled to experience a new place at the turn of the year. Dumping some quick first impressions of Ko Samui, and a bunch of photos from Day 1.

Upon the urging of our friend and lipstick lover, Mela, my barkada went to Lab'i Lipstick Design Studio last weekend. We were all curious about making our own lipsticks and agreed that it would be a fun activity to do together. I mean, if Mela has gone 5 times in the past 5 months, it must be something special! They were already there when I arrived. We all tried to settle down while the owner, Eleanor, started to give her introduction; but surrounded by over 150 shades of lipsticks and the cutest cases, it took[...]
I'm a little late to the fanfare, but this week, I finally had the chance to sit down and catch up on the Internet. Two people named Kodi Lee and Greta Thunberg were very prominent on my feed; so I clicked and followed links, like a moth lured by the social media flame. I watched videos of America's Got Talent's newest champion, Kodi. He was introduced as a 22-year old blind man with autism, and his audition blew me away. Next, I read up on Greta, a 16-year old environmental activist. Only in later articles did I c[...]
This past April, while visiting at my friend Ekay's house, she introduced me to a Japanese reality show called Terrace House. We didn't even finish an entire episode, but it had piqued my interest enough that I decided to look for it on Netflix a few days later. I'm not sure how it happened, but suddenly I was watching it at every spare moment. I even downloaded episodes for when I was out of the house, and finished 3 seasons in a month. ? I'm a believer of the theory that what occupies your mind manifests in your[...]
My sister is currently on their honeymoon, and I've only gotten around to posting about the day of the wedding. ?? Can I have a slow clap for being so good at this? ? Picking up from where I left off on my previous post, here's a timeline of how things happened on July the 20th. Some photos of this destination wedding by Ry, some grabbed from the wedding suppliers, but most are my own. 05:30 I was soaking in the silence of the place as the sun made its way slowly overhead. My sister appeared calm, but I knew her mi[...]
I left 5 days before the big day to help with whatever my sister needed. That meant errands, crafting, and just being there for her as she was about to transition into marriage.
Bruce had such a distinct personality even as a puppy. He came into our home with 2 full-grown Labradors, which made it all the more apparent. He was so tiny then; but when I set him down and let Chili and Kani sniff him for the 1st time, he stood his ground and even let out a few warning barks as if to say, "I'm not scared of you." Within days, I knew he wouldn't be like my other goofballs, with their in-your-face style of I-Love-You-So-Much. Bruce was somewhat aloof, came mostly when he wanted a morsel of what[...]
At this time last week, we were descending from the summit of Mt. Batulao, after enjoying the view and the slightly cooler breezes from the top. It was a relaxing trip for me as one of the rare times when I didn't need to plan or drive! Husband and wife cycling team Mel and Julius picked the destination, set the meet up point and time, and offered their SUV for 5 of us to pile into. Going Blind The first thing I do when I'm getting ready for a climb is to check if my favorite Pinoy Mountaineer has been to our cho[...]
It's the last day of May! I've been home for just a handful of days since the RCS left for the US in April, then Masbate, Bicol right on time for my birthday on the 1st of May. A few weeks after that, we went to Candon, Ilocos Sur to perform at their 1st music festival. That last one, being the shortest of all the trips, is the one I've been able to sum up (somewhat poorly) in a short video. I'm writing this from Iloilo, while on another work trip, so for now, I'll just share the link below. * The skipping on the[...]
When I tried searching for the updated software, the 1st results were only the printable versions. I finally found the version 4 software here. Download, unzip, run, and install the offline eBIR forms software on your Windows OS. I recommend it over manual filing because it alerts you on missing, required fields, as well as does the computations based on the data you input.
