Bruce had such a distinct personality even as a puppy. He came into our home with 2 full-grown Labradors, which made it all the more apparent. He was so tiny then; but when I set him down and let Chili and Kani sniff him for the 1st time, he stood his ground and even let out a few warning barks as if to say, “I’m not scared of you.” Within days, I knew he wouldn’t be like my other goofballs, with their in-your-face style of I-Love-You-So-Much. Bruce was somewhat aloof, came mostly when he wanted a morsel of what I […]
At this time last week, we were descending from the summit of Mt. Batulao, after enjoying the view and the slightly cooler breezes from the top. It was a relaxing trip for me as one of the rare times when I didn’t need to plan or drive! Husband and wife cycling team Mel and Julius picked the destination, set the meet up point and time, and offered their SUV for 5 of us to pile into. Going Blind The first thing I do when I’m getting ready for a climb is to check if my favorite Pinoy Mountaineer has been […]
It’s the last day of May! I’ve been home for just a handful of days since the RCS left for the US in April, then Masbate, Bicol right on time for my birthday on the 1st of May. A few weeks after that, we went to Candon, Ilocos Sur to perform at their 1st music festival. That last one, being the shortest of all the trips, is the one I’ve been able to sum up (somewhat poorly) in a short video. I’m writing this from Iloilo, while on another work trip, so for now, I’ll just share the link below. […]
When I tried searching for the updated software, the 1st results were only the printable versions. I finally found the version 4 software here. Download, unzip, run, and install the offline eBIR forms software on your Windows OS. I recommend it over manual filing because it alerts you on missing, required fields, as well as does the computations based on the data you input.
Surf towns have a distinct, laid-back vibe, judging from my visits to La Union, Baler, and Hale'iwa on the North Shore of Oahu. Among them all, tiny Liwliwa has got to be the chillest, stripped to the barest scene I've experienced.
I said I would write, so despite being out at work almost the entire day, I am cramming Day 1 of this 30-day challenge I’m taking on. I’ll be following the calendar below, which I downloaded 4 years ago. As you can see, the author of this graphic created this in 2015 ? and it’s been sitting on my desktop since, ignored. I haven’t read all the topics, and I vaguely remember thinking I wanted each day to have an element of surprise. It’ll be a good exercise on writing the 1st idea that comes to mind and just rolling […]
